At Toast Academy, everybody is welcome. Whether you are 10, starting to explore the world of art, or 60, trying to reinvent your skillset and fit into the new industry, we have tools, courses, and content designed specifically for you.

Located in the heart of Ibadan, the academy provides a serene environment for learning and collaboration. Our curriculum offers an immersive experience in cutting-edge creativity within a team environment. Students collaborate, bridging majors while training for careers in the ever-changing media environment.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
Beginners and Intermediates. Age 10 – 60. Bring your enthusiasm, your ideas, your questions, your laptop and let Toast Academy provide you with the skills needed to build your portfolio and start your career.

THE REAL WORLD IS YOUR CLASSROOM
You’ll learn by doing—no tests, no textbooks. You’ll be mentored by experienced graphic design professionals (see our work here) and be placed in real-world situations. You will also be given access to our fully functional multimedia studio.

Introduction to Design

Introduction to design offers an overview of what graphic design is and the immense professional opportunities it provides. Students will be inspired and enlightened whilst being taken on a journey to the great works of past and present iconic graphic designers. You will be introduced to the most popular designer sites encompassing work within the various industries that designers work in.

The business of design

Students will learn the importance of marketing themselves and their work. Students will begin to refine their professional portfolio; design a personal identity system, learn basic professional practices and how to further their design education. Students will produce a resume and cover letter using a personal design system based on their identity.
