THE REAL WORLD IS YOUR CLASSROOM
You’ll learn by doing—no tests, no textbooks. You’ll be mentored by experienced graphic design professionals (see our work here) and be placed in real-world situations. You will also be given access to our fully functional multimedia studio.
Introduction to Design
Introduction to design offers an overview of what graphic design is and the immense professional opportunities it provides. Students will be inspired and enlightened whilst being taken on a journey to the great works of past and present iconic graphic designers. You will be introduced to the most popular designer sites encompassing work within the various industries that designers work in.

Students will learn the importance of marketing themselves and their work. Students will begin to refine their professional portfolio; design a personal identity system, learn basic professional practices and how to further their design education. Students will produce a resume and cover letter using a personal design system based on their identity.

How much does the course cost?
Our Creative Design Course costs a one time fee of NGN 50,865 only. This fee covers course material, application licensing and service fee.
How long does the course run for?
The Creative Design Course at Toast Academy runs for a period of one month. It is made up of 3-4 hour lectures, 3 times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) for a period of 4 weeks.
What are the requirements?
Laptop – See minimum required specifications below
- CPU: Intel Core i3, i5, i7 or equivalent
- Display: 13 in. or larger, min.
- RAM: 4GB or larger.
- Video Card:
- Good: – built-in video with shared RAM in most models will be adequate
- Better: built-in Intel HD 6000 included with newer Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs
- Best: A discrete video card with dedicated RAM is best for video and 3D work.
- Storage: 250GB minimum; consider 500GB
